Cincinnati Bengal Wallace Gilberry is betting that his buddy Alan Belcher knocks out Michael Bisping in the first round when the two men fight at UFC 159 later this month. Gilberry is putting up his 300 grand phantom that ‘The Talent’ gets the job done. The two fighters already have a tattoo bet and Belcher is willing to get the Union Jack tattooed on his chest if ‘The Count’ knocks him out in round 1.
All this talk between the two men really has made this undercard fight stand out. The fans love a good bad blood brawl and this bout now has that.
At UFC 159 Alan Belcher and Michael Bisping will meet in the octagon to determine who gets one step closer to a title shot. But now Belcher has upped the stakes by throwing out a challenge to Bisping. If ‘The Count’ can stop Belcher in the first round he will get the Union Jack tattooed on his chest. But ‘The Talent’ wants Bisping to get Johnny Cash tatted on his arm should it go the other way.
“You can take me out in round one? I don’t think so. If you can take me out in round one, I will get the British flag tattooed on my chest. That, I promise. I make that promise to the fans right now. You better get your ass to training instead of making little powder puff movies. Get in the gym and start training. At least try to make it past the first minute.”
About a month ago UFC middlweights Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort seemed to be friends with one another leading up to the epic main event fight at UFC on FX7 Saturday. But yesterday at the UFC on FX 7 Press Conference the two men almost came to blows after Belfort put his fist up to Bisping’s face during the staredown afterwards. Bisping didn’t seem to like it and pushed it away but Belfort put it back in his face which really pissed off ‘The Count’.
This fight should be a lot of fun now that both men really want to hurt each other. If Bisping comes out on top Saturday he will become the new #1 contender to Anderson Silva’s belt and face him later this year.

UFC middleweight #1 contender Michael Bisping has never been the kind of guy to keep his opinions to himself. He has caused a stir by bashing guys like Matt Hamill, Chael Sonnen, and Mayhem Miller for years. But in a recent Yahoo blog Bisping stirred things up again with his opinions on the performance of Alan Belcher who lost a boring decision to Yushin Okami at UFC 155 last weekend.
According to ‘The Count’;
Obviously commiserations are in order for my former fellow top five contenders Alan Belcher and Tim Boetsch, who both came up short in big fight at UFC 155 on December 29. Belcher lost to Yushin Okami and Boetsch lost to Costa Philippou. I respect all my fellow fighters, and I know the agony of defeat, so heartfelt commiserations to both of these two fine, upstanding gentlemen.
Now I’ve got that obligatory fluffy stuff out of the way, I’d like to say I’m looking forward to these two simpletons keeping their pie holes shut about me for a little while. Those two have been calling me out and talking crap for months, and I would have got some real enjoyment beating them in the Octagon but two no-marks took that glory.
Belcher lost every minute of every round in a fight so boring I was afraid my brain was going to melt and start to dribble out of my ears. It was like someone detonated a nuclear bomb of boredom in the arena – everyone in the seats around me was playing Angry Birds.
What delusions of grandeur Belcher has. This is a guy who didn’t fight for a year after giving himself career-threatening eye-strain by watching too much internet porn, and he thinks he’s god’s gift to MMA. He even told UFC president Dana White that after he beat Okami, he’d fight me on January 19 if something happens to Belfort. This is a guy who got his arse kicked by two guys I smashed (Yoshihiro Akiyama and Jason Day) but he thinks he can not only beat me on a couple weeks’ training, but also assumed he was getting passed Okami, who is not to be underestimated.
Anyway, now we don’t have to listen to this guy anymore. Back to the undercard, sunshine!
Belcher had drawn the wrath of the Brit by calling him out last summer. Belcher was coming back from a potential career-ending eye injury after winning 4 fights in a row in the UFC which put him in the title picture. Now with the loss it looks like ‘The Talent’ will be knocked down a few spots on the UFC middlweight ladder. But should Bisping drop in his next fight to former champion Vitor Belfort later this month it’s always possible UFC president Dana White would put the fight together to settle the feud.

Michael Bisping is a bit upset that Hector Lombard is walking into the mix at middleweight after spending time in Bellator. The perennial UFC contender thinks Lombard has beaten a bunch of part time fighters while he has been fighting the best the UFC has to offer. According to an interview with MMADiehards.com;
“It does piss me off a little bit, you know? I’ve been slugging away in the UFC for six years now, fighting the best guys in the world and just because Hector Lombard’s been knocking out little part-time fighters who probably hold down jobs full-time and he’s been knocking out people that I haven’t got a clue who they are, I haven’t even heard of them, you know, while I’ve been knocking out the best fighters in the world and fighting the best consistently for six years and he’s going to come in from knocking out John the baker from around the corner and you know, he gets a title shot?”
Bisping is set to face Tim Boetsch this summer and if he can get past him he will have to wait in line or fight another top contender despite his impressive performance against Chael Sonnen in February in a losing effort.
